(16.03.22) The 快三砍龙 and the National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF) are pleased to announce a call for proposals for German-Korean joint workshops and research visits. This initiative aims to bring together relevant and competitive researchers from Germany and South Korea to establish collaborative scientific relationships and prepare joint projects.

Details of the current call for proposals and contact persons:

On March 8, the 快三砍龙 and the NRF conducted a Webinar on funding opportunities with a special focus on International Research Training Groups (IRTG) for researchers from Germany and Korea with an interest to strengthen their collaborations.

The event was aimed at making researchers more familiar with the funding opportunities by NRF and 快三砍龙 with a special focus on the IRTG program.

Around 95 participants from various career levels joined the online info session. Greetings were delivered by the NRF鈥檚 Director of Office of Global Networks, Dr. Yeun-Soo Choi and the 快三砍龙鈥檚 Deputy Head of International Affairs Dr. Ingrid Kr眉脽mann. Both speakers stressed the long and fruitful collaboration between the two funding agencies.
Then, Dr. Jong-Deok Kim, Education Director at the NRF鈥檚 International Exchange Programs Division, the event鈥檚 moderator Raoul Wagner, Programme Officer at the 快三砍龙鈥檚 International Affairs Division, and Dr. Martin Roatsch, Programme Officer at the 快三砍龙鈥檚 Research Careers Division, gave an overview about funding options for international collaborative research between German and Korean researchers.

The focus was shifted to the researchers when the Seoul/Bielefeld IRTG 2235 was presented by the spokespersons Professor Moritz Ka脽mann and Professor Panki Kim as an example for achieving success. Within the session they gave practical insights into how a large-scale project can be successfully implemented and filled with life, enriched with enthusiasm, personal notes, photos, and anecdotes.
The talks were then followed by a lively Q&A session.

The event has undoubtedly sparked further interest in strengthening the scientific collaboration between German and Korean researchers.
