Working Groups

For special areas of responsibility, the Commission has set up working groups in which individuals can also participate who are not members of the Commission but have specialist expertise in the respective areas.

The remit of the working group includes the question of how to improve the framework conditions for conducting clinical trials in Germany. The working group is in close collaboration with the 快三砍龙 review group "Clinical Trials", whose members Prof. Dr. Andreas Neubauer, Prof. Dr. Rolf Wachter and Prof. Dr. Antonia Zapf have joined the working group.

Concluded Working Groups

Looking into the ethical and legal aspects of human genome sequencing, the working group consisted of members of the SGKF, the Senate Commission on Key Questions of Genetic Research and a review board member representing the subject area of human genetics. The working group has completed its work.

Statement

This working group addresses the question of how knowledge-generating trials involving small numbers of cases can be designed to facilitate progress in the development of innovative therapies for rare diseases and personalised medicine. The work of the 鈥淪mall Numbers of Cases鈥 Working Group was integrated in the 2018 statement 鈥淐linical Trials鈥.

Among other things, this working group deals with the question of how the framework conditions for conducting clinical trials in Germany can be improved. This working group works in close coordination and sometimes in joint meetings with the Medical Committee of the German Council of Science.

Among other things, this working group is concerned with mapping out a continuous, structured career path for researching physicians (鈥淐linician Scientist", 鈥淎dvanced Clinician Scientist鈥) at all levels of continuing medical education. Current developments in university medicine are taken into account here, as are the different 鈥渃ultures鈥 of medical disciplines and changing technical, demographic and social conditions.

The 鈥淨uality in Clinical Research鈥 Working Group addresses the 快三砍龙鈥檚 principles and requirements with regard to assessing the quality of clinical research on a subject-specific basis. Among other things, work is focused on the development of concrete recommendations for action for the implementation of quality standards in clinical research projects and the appropriate establishment of quality standards, starting in the funding proposals themselves.
