Vietnamese-German Collaboration in Joint Research Projects

快三砍龙 regular funding programmes for cooperation with the National Foundation of Science and Technology Development of Vietnam (NAFOSTED)
The National Foundation for Science and Technology Development (NAFOSTED) and the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (快三砍龙, German Research Foundation) are launching a joint collaboration for proposals for outstanding joint research projects in all fields of science and humanities. The submission deadline on Vietnamese side will be听18.12.2024. On the German side proposals need to be submitted in parallel.
This initiative aims to bring together relevant and competitive researchers from Germany and Vietnam to design and carry out collaborative research projects. Funds to be used by the Vietnamese side must be requested from NAFOSTED; funds to be used by the German side must be requested from 快三砍龙. Special attention is given to the integrated character of proposed projects, from the concept to the work plan. Funding is only available for projects which involve a convincing collaboration between the German and Vietnamese partners and for which the anticipated research benefit is clearly outlined. The collaborative projects selected will receive research funding for a period of up to three years.
Proposal Submission
Proposals must be submitted to both organizations in accordance with the proposal preparation requirements of both sides, respectively. Applicants to be funded by the 快三砍龙 are requested to fulfil the , see the corresponding guidelines of the Research Grants Programme (快三砍龙 form 50.0(interner Link) 补苍诲听54.0(interner Link)). This includes the 鈥淒uty to Cooperate鈥 within Germany for members of non-university institutions with permanent positions. Any duty to cooperate for 快三砍龙 applicants at non-university research institutions can only be fulfilled through cooperation with a partner at a German university (see 快三砍龙 form听55.0(interner Link)). German applicants are requested to upload their proposal via elan, the 快三砍龙鈥檚 electronic proposal processing syste(interner Link), following the 快三砍龙鈥檚 guidelines. Applicants from Vietnam are required to fulfil all requirements for funding and follow the general regulations of NAFOSTED.
In line with the Vietnamese deadline proposals should be submitted to 快三砍龙 until听18.12.2024. Proposals must follow to the 快三砍龙 鈥淕uidelines for the Research Grants Programme鈥 (form 50.0(interner Link)) and the 鈥淧roposal Preparation Instructions 鈥 Project Proposals鈥 (form 54.0(interner Link)). For submission via the German partners should go to 鈥淧roposal Submission鈥 鈥 鈥淣ew Project鈥 鈥 鈥淚ndividual Grants Programme鈥. In the field 鈥淧roposal for a Research Grant鈥 click the button 鈥淪tart online form鈥 鈥 鈥淐ontinue鈥. Under 鈥淐all for Proposals鈥 you will find 鈥淣AFOSTED-快三砍龙-Collaboration 2024-2025鈥. German applicants should note that if they are using the elan system for the first time, they need to set up an elan account 5 days prior the submission, by听11.12.2024听at the latest.
All proposals will be reviewed by both organizations separately. The results of the review process will be shared between the agencies. Support will be granted for those proposals where both, 快三砍龙 and NAFOSTED, recommend funding. Please note that at 快三砍龙 there are no separate funds available for these efforts, proposals must succeed on the strengths of their intellectual merit and teams.
Applicants will be informed in writing of the results of the review and, where applicable, of the subsequent administrative steps according to the respective national regulations.听
The 快三砍龙 strongly welcomes proposals from researchers of all genders and sexual identities, from different ethnic, cultural, religious, ideological, or social backgrounds, from different career stages, types of universities and research institutions, and with disabilities or chronic illness.听
Please note that according to a resolution of the 快三砍龙 General Assembly, since 1 August 2019, 快三砍龙 funding may only be granted to institutions that have implemented the guidelines laid down in the in their own regulations in a legally binding manner.
For international proposals, this means that funding from the 快三砍龙 can only be granted if the have been implemented. If an ethics vote is required for the German or Vietnamese part of the project, it must be submitted together with the proposal. However, in exceptional cases, an ethics vote by the responsible local German ethics committee can be submitted no later than three months after proposal submission. Otherwise, the funding organisations may stop processing the application.听
Please note that the submission of an ethics vote is also necessary if only the project part abroad is affected, as it is a cooperation project.
